USING THE CATALOG

The Quechee and Wilder Libraries are part of the VOKAL consortium, a group of over 50 libraries in the state of Vermont who share the Koha Library System software.
Our participation in VOKAL has many benefits, but will affect how you, as patrons, renew and reserve books. Please follow these simple modifications from past practice:

To sign into your personal account at www.quecheelibrary.org:

Click on the Catalog option in the Services Menu , click the “Log in to your account link” at the top right of the page. Your login is your library card barcode, and your default PIN is the last 5 digits of that same number.  Click the “LogIn” button, You will now see your account and the list of items you are currently borrowing. Note: you can return to this account page anytime after sign in by clicking on your name in the upper right corner of the screen. Goto the Catalog

On a mobile device you may need to click on the person icon in the upper right corner of the window to display the login link.

To Renew items

From your main account page, check the renewal box, select titles, and press renew selected.

To Reserve/Request

Search the catalog for desired titles and click the “add to cart” link for each title (we recommend beginning with the QWLibrary limited search first and expanding to the All Libraries if desired)
When you are done browsing, click on the Green Cart button to view your cart. From the Cart page, click Send at the top of the page  Enter info@quecheelibrary.org address to mail your cart to the librarians and enter any notes about editions or special pickup locations

If you cannot locate a desired title in the system, from your patron home screen you can enter the
“My Purchase Suggestions” tab on the left side of the screen make a suggestion.  You can also send an email to info@quecheelibrary.org to request items that you do not readily find in the catalog

Note: One immediate benefit is that you may use your library card at any Hartford library and feel free to request books for transfer from one site to another. We are pleased to be working cooperatively to provide ever-expanding library service.
